Bio

Alex Severson is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis. Prior to joining ISR, Alex received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Florida State University in 2018 and taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor of American Politics in the Department of Political Science at Boise State University for two years. His research interests span the areas of public policy, political psychology, behavioral economics, experimental methods, public opinion, and survey methodology, and his peer-reviewed research has been published in outlets including State Politics and Policy Quarterly, The Journal of Experimental Political Science, and Social Science Quarterly. Alex has taught graduate-level courses in Advanced Quantitative Analysis, Survey Research Methods, and Social Science Research Design and over twenty undergraduate courses in Public Policy, Policy Evaluation, Public Opinion and Electoral Behavior, Political Psychology, and Applied Campaign Management in his time at Boise State University and Florida State University.
