Professional Experience

Douglas Carver joined the New Mexico Sentencing Commission in 2017 as its Deputy Director. Before coming to the Commission, he led a nonprofit focused on government ethics and was a staff attorney at the New Mexico Legislature’s Legislative Council Service, working principally in the areas of criminal justice and government ethics. He has a B.A. from Yale University, an M.Phil. from Trinity College Dublin, and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
