Bio

Before joining the commission, Mrs. Gurule retired from the United States Marines as an Intelligence Analyst. Upon retiring, she worked in a variety of settings including a Directorship of a children’s gym, an Athletic Trainer, Instructor in a local private school, and for the United States Marshals. While at NMSC, her research has included studies of criminal competency and time spent in New Mexico detention centers. Since being with NMSC, she has received her post-baccalaureate paralegal certificate and continues to advance her knowledge within the criminal and juvenile justice system.
