Sam Torres is a Project Assistant at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis (CARA) at ISR.

Professional Experience

Sam has been enrolled as a graduate student at the University of New Mexico since 2014. His research interests include macro-level predictors of urban criminal offending as they result in and are a consequence of racial/ethnic socioeconomic inequality, in the United States and elsewhere. With respect to criminological theory, he is interested in relative deprivation and social disorganization perspectives.
