Craig is a Research Scientist at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis (CARA) at the Institute for Social Research (ISR). He has 12 years of research experience in epidemiological research, evaluation research, data analysis, data management and quality assurance. Craig has experience conducting research in the fields of drug and alcohol treatment, the criminal justice system, adolescent substance addiction, the adolescent criminal justice system, and psychiatry.

Professional Experience

Craig started working at ISR in 2013.  Prior to working at ISR, Craig was a Research Scientist and Data Manager at the UNM Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse and Addictions (CASAA) for 10 years.   He has worked on many grant-funded projects from NIDA, NIH and NIAAA. His work experience includes training and supervising students and staff as well as conducting all aspects of the research protocols.  In addition, he has experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining data collection and analysis systems in support of each protocol. Currently at ISR, Craig is involved in research projects with the New Mexico Corrections Department, the New Mexico Sentencing Commission, the Bernalillo County Department of Substance Abuse Programs, the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center, various University of New Mexico departments, and the City of Albuquerque.
