BioCaitlyn is a Program Assistant for the New Mexico Statistical Analysis Center and a student in the Master of Public Policy program at UNM. Born in Guatemala and raised in Albuquerque, Caitlyn attended the University of New Mexico where she graduated with her undergraduate degree in Sociology, with a minor in Political Science. She spent the last two years at a local nonprofit where she supported young people - aging out of foster care and the criminal justice system - in developing career and education goals. After directly supporting individuals impacted by the criminal justice system, Caitlyn is now interested in understanding this work through a policy and data lens. Outside of graduate school, Caitlyn enjoys her early morning jogs and afternoon walks with her dog Gigi.
