Alexandra Tonigan is a Senior Research Scientist 1 at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis (CARA) at the Institute for Social Research (ISR). After graduating with her BA in Psychology, she came to work at ISR from 2012-2015, until she moved to Denver, Colorado and worked at the Crime Prevention and Control Commission (CPCC), Office of Behavioral Health Strategies (OBHS) for two years. In 2017, Alex rejoined the ISR and began her Ph.D. work in Educational Psychology at the University of New Mexico, concentrating on quantitative methods. Alex has 10 years of research experience related to the criminal justice and behavioral health systems, and more recently, within education and public health systems.
