Thais Schwartz, MPH is a Research Scientist 3 at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis (CARA) at the Institute for Social Research (ISR). She completed her Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology at the University of New Mexico. Thais has experience in epidemiological research, data management, and data analysis. She has experience conducting research in the fields of mental health illness, violent death, maternal and reproductive health, and opioid addiction and substance abuse. Her primary areas of research at the ISR includes the criminal justice system and the evaluation of pretrial risk assessment tools and early childhood home visiting programs.
