Alexandra Tonigan is a Research Scientist 3 at the Center for Applied Research and Analysis (CARA) at the Institute for Social Research (ISR). After graduating with her BA, she came to work at ISR from 2012-2015,until she moved to Denver, Colorado and worked at the Crime Prevention and Control Commission, Office of Behavioral Health Strategies for two years. In 2017, Alex rejoined the ISR and began her Ph.D. work at the University of New Mexico. Alex has 8 years of research experience related to the criminal justice and behavioral health systems, and more recently, within education systems.
